The Capital Consort String trio or quartet
The Capital Consort is either a string trio - two violins and cello - or a traditional string quartet - two violins, viola and cello - made up of some of the finest players in the area. Led by cellist Laurie Riss, The Capital Consort groups provide the beautiful string ensemble sound many clients are looking for in a ceremony musical ensemble. The ability to perform as a trio or quartet gives great flexibility to the group. The Capital Consort can also be augmented by solo piccolo trumpet for those wonderful processionals and recessionals by Purcell, Haydn and Mouret.
